How soon will I get my money?

In most cases, your check will be ready in 3-4 days after your car sells in our VB2 sale. To ensure that we are able to continue to offer our services to the general public at competitive rates, sellers will be able to receive the proceeds from the sale once our registered buyer has paid for the car.

How much will it cost to sell my car?

CopartDirect gives you more value for your money because we guarantee you an offer on your car fast and do all the work for you. How much is it worth for you to get money in your hand in about a week while never having to deal with buyers or even title paperwork?

Is it worth $50? That's our listing fee which covers all our administrative costs including doing a condition report and Auto Check History, taking 10 photographs of the car to place in our VB2 Internet sale and storing your car in a secure facility. This is the only fee you have to pay up front when dropping off your car.

When you car sells, we will deduct 2 percent of the sale price for the rest of our services, which includes running your vehicle in our global Internet sale, monitoring the results for you, and collecting the money from the buyer. There will be a $25 title fee for title processing so you don't have to wait in line at your local DMV.

You will have the option of placing a minimum bid (or reserve price) on your vehicle for an additional $75 if you choose to do so.

CopartDirect is a full-service remarketing company that is dedicated to giving you the most value for your money.

Do I still have to pay if my car doesn't sell or I don't get as much as I want?

We will do everything we can to get you a satisfactory price for your vehicle. Your satisfaction is our goal. However, in order to cover the cost of placing your vehicle on our VB2 remarketing platform, the listing fee and the optional minimum bid fee must be paid. However, there is no title fee or final value fee if your car does not sell.

How much can I get for my car? How do you determine that?

We will do a preliminary condition report over the phone to give you an estimated potential sales value. We will ask you questions about the condition of your car, use Kelly Blue Book value, and our experience selling your particular year, make and model of car to find the most accurate number. Then, when you bring your vehicle to our sale, we will walk around the vehicle with you and complete a condition report. We also run an Auto Check History on your vehicle to ensure it has not been involved in a major accident, flood, or other type of event.

What if my car isn't listed in the Kelly Blue Book?

If your car is not listed in Kelly Blue Book, we will try to use our experience selling similar vehicles, the condition report, and the Auto Check History to help you determine the estimated sale value.

What is a minimum bid?

A minimum bid ensures that if the highest bid falls below your minimum price, CopartDirect will act as your agent to work with the buyer to get the highest sale price for your car. We will also call you right after the sale ends for final approval on the highest price. If you choose to put a minimum bid on your vehicle, we will compare it to similar vehicles we've sold to make sure your minimum price is comparable.

Do you guarantee that my car will sell?

We do not guarantee your car will sell. However, we guarantee that your car will receive actual bids from our base of global buyers. If you have a minimum bid on your car and that price is met or exceeded, your car will be sold. If you have a minimum bid on your car and the highest bid falls below it, it will be your decision to accept the bid or not. If you have no minimum bid your car will sell to the highest bidder regardless of the amount.
